Riverside & San Diego Foreclosures and Short Sales Might be the Way of the FutureCategory: Short Sales | Permalink Published: Friday, August 21, 2009 For most of us just those two words alone can bring a grown man to his knees, "Short-Sale". As a realtor I have had nightmares about short-sales that have gone wrong and held up families from moving in their dream home for months on end. For the past 3 years we have gotten use to short-sales taking 6-12 months to close and the heartache to our clients is unbelievable. I am happy to report that short-sales have turned the corner of pain and disappointment and are headed toward the streamline. In the past several months we have been getting homes approved for short-sales in as little as two weeks with the average being 30-45 days. I know most people reading this article cannot believe what they are reading, but it is truly the case. Banks have come around to understand that they can increase the return for their properties and keep them out of foreclosures by moving quickly in the short-sale process. In addition, many banks in the Murrieta and Temecula Valley have started hiring to support the demand they are experiencing for short-sales, bank owned homes, and lending. With the increased backing of the financial institutions, short-sales are slowly becoming the way of the future. Lenders are not looking to foreclose on anyone's home, it is in their best interest to modify loans and approve short-sales. If you or anyone you know has experienced the hardships of our current economy and might need the assistance of short-sales experts, please have them call or email me directly at the information below.
